The Beginning

I have been researching the Malone family since 1984 and have heard and read two things several different times. There has been the story of how the Malone's were evicted from their original homeland and forced to find land that was far below in value from what they had and also the story that the Malone's were part of the O'Connor family. I could never find anything in my research that gave me an area where they were evicted from but I have seen in the Malone Coat of Arms the mention of O'Connor. (Read More)

Thomas Malone and James Kennedy - Kings of Blackface Comedy

Thomas Malone was born on June 23, 1883 actor. When his children were small, he used to make the trip by train from Chicopee, Mass. to the New York area to do his acting as it was told to us by a few older people that had the pleasure of knowing him. When his wife died he returned to Chicopee on a permanent basis to take care of his children and find work here. He never gave up his acting and he joined "the Father Matthew Temperance Group", a local stage group that put plays on in the area. (Read More)

The Family of William Patrick Malone

William Patrick Malone was born 1842/3 in Ireland (this is an assumption) and died December 26th 1894 at the age of 52. He is buried in Old Cathedral cemetery. It is not yet known when he arrived in America but it is thought to be 1861. (Read More)
